Ashley Larson

Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern

Ashley is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling student intern, completing her training under clinical supervision. She works with adolescents, adults, and couples, and is dedicated to creating a thoughtful, supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences openly. She recognizes that emotional struggles and relationship patterns often develop over time, and she believes therapy provides a steady, collaborative space for reflection, healing, and meaningful growth.

Her approach is trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), family systems theory, attachment-based work, and mindfulness. Ashley helps clients build greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and relationship patterns while developing practical skills to navigate challenges with clarity and confidence.

Ashley has a strong interest in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, identity concerns, life transitions, and the lasting effects of difficult experiences. She also works with couples seeking to strengthen emotional connection, improve communication, or rebuild trust. When working with adolescents, she prioritizes creating a space where they feel understood, respected, and empowered as they develop a stronger sense of self.

She approaches counseling with curiosity, compassion, and deep respect for each client’s unique story. Ashley believes meaningful change begins when people feel genuinely seen and supported, and she is committed to helping clients reconnect with their resilience and capacity for growth.

Outside of her clinical work, Ashley enjoys reading, creating art, and training in Japanese jujutsu. She values spending time outdoors hiking and enjoys being with family and friends, especially when it includes board games and lots of laughter.
